This McCauley 3-Bladed Propeller was pulled from an aircraft that suffered a prop strike and we rescued it from going to scrap. We purchased the blade for a client with the intention to mount it high on his hangar wall. To support the propeller, we designed a custom CNC’d wall mount that would hold the 115 pounds of weight and researched the appropriate way to mount it safely to steel studded walls. After some brainstorming to really impress the client, we installed a Phillips Hue Lightstrip behind the spinner bracket that would glow outward. To protect the blade, we built a custom crate that held the prop up from the mount only so no surfaces would rub the polished surface during shipping.
