Bell Hanger Project

Posted by George Grant on

This bell hanger was designed for a client to support a 1847 Murphy Bell made in Dublin, Ireland. The client requested we build a structure that matched the age of the bell and the dimensions of the existing deck. To achieve the aged look, Paul researched different processes and chemical mixtures that could make the wood look like it was over 100 years old. The hardware was beaten and blackened to give it the forged look and then bolted together. Once complete, we installed structure, hung the bell and woke up the entire neighborhood with the first ring.
